Geo textiles made out of Coir fibre can be made to give high tensile strengths by using high twisted with low runnage twines and by weaving closely. Depending upon the tightness of the weave (the grid openings) Coir geo textiles can contribute to high erosion resistance materials. Coir fibre has the ability to absorb and retain moisture and therefore invariably help the growth and development of vegetation. Depending upon the quality of the geo nets, high gradient slopes and easily erodible loose or small particle soils, can be prevented from erosion. These nets can also very effectively used on slope threatened by frost shear and also in high surface run-off conditions. The following types of woven 100% Coir geo-textiles are available. |
